The waves of our ocean have flooded
bringing with it our hearts
apart from the sunset we cease to survive
all shattered into parts.
Our screams of agony go unheard
our courage wanes away
in the golden paradise we once craved to live
but no longer wish to stay.
Eyes blazing with the fire we’re burning in
parched throats are left to die
and when the twilight envelops the day
silently we lie.
